What is classroom management?

As actual teaching takes place in the classroom, the classroom should be well-equipped and properly managed to create effective learning environment. Classroom management includes teachers' activities, student participation, seating arrangement, students' groupings, installation of various teaching aids and use of them etc. It also includes teachers' awareness of the whole class about what is going on, what will be happening, how students are reacting, etc. Since, the teaching success depends on the location, means of instruction, proper management of mixed ability of students and their involvement etc. Proper classroom management is of great assistance in teaching.
