Planning questions are those mental
thoughts which a teacher has before he or she actually prepares a lesson plan.
It is quite natural a teacher needs to surround himself or herself with a
multitude of possible quetions and thoughts from different angles. As a redult,
a relevant plan can be drafted depending upon experience, knowledge and skill
of the teacher, level, need and interest of the students, and the nature of the
course. Planning questions might be different. To be specific, Jeremy Harmer
(2008) initiates seven questions for planning questions:
i.
Who exactly are the
students for these activities?
ii. What do we want to do and why?
iii. How long will it take?
iv. How does it work?
v. What will be needed?
vi. What might go wrong?
vii.
How will it fit with
what comes before and after it?
